10,000 Articles
It was slowly lastly nighttime that nosotros hitting article 9,999. Tom wrote a Guardians of the Milky Way Vol 2 article to live precise. So that agency that this article is very the 10,000th article that we've published on the site. Which is only insane when y'all recall almost it, particularly if nosotros accept an average of 300 words an article (alot of the time, it far more) which if my reckoner is correct, we've typed good over three MILLION words into this site.
Some of y'all cause got been reading since the start. Since this house was a barren wasteland of badly written reviews (go on, we'll give y'all the joke..."It yet is") to what it is now. And I'm glad to tell that we've picked upwards an abide by or 2 along the way as well as a truck charge of runner ups as well as finalist places.
The site has changed hugely over those 10,000 articles, amongst the most recent blueprint beingness the best it's ever looked.
It's taken an incredible amount of work, fourth dimension as well as endeavour to acquire to this point. There's no thanks, there's no money, all at that topographic point is, is a passion for movies. I'm incredibly proud of what the site has achieved over the years as well as I'm forever inward awe at the dedication the writing squad has hither (especially Tom, who the house would acquire on give the sack as well as give the sack to the Blue Planet without) both past times as well as present.
We've seen the moving-picture demonstrate manufacture alter over these 10,000 articles. We've wrote almost the tides of alter countless times, to where nosotros are now, which is a novel start out for lots of people amongst the advent of streaming. It's harder to acquire people inward moving-picture demonstrate theaters these days, as well as piece that's an article inward itself,
When I started this site, I never expected to acquire to 100 articles, allow lonely 10,000. I never expected people to give their time, unloosen energy as well as endeavour fourth dimension as well as fourth dimension again. Hell, I've had 2 kids during these 10,000 articles. Well my married adult woman has, but y'all acquire the drift.
On a heartfelt note, give thank y'all you for reading as well as dropping by. Hopefully we've made y'all laugh, smile, cry, enquiry or larn something over all this time. Maybe y'all fifty-fifty trolled only about inward the comments, won some awesome moving-picture demonstrate goodies or attended 1 of our exclusive screenings. Who knows. All I know is nosotros appreciate y'all dropping by.
We've made some neat friends over these epic amount of articles as well as we've worked amongst some amazing as well as accommodating studio people, particularly hither inward Ireland. The folks at Walt Disney Studios Ireland, Warner Bros Ireland, Element Pictures, Lighthouse Communications, Kate Bowe PR Universal as well as Paramount Republic of Ireland cause got beingness null but hugely supportive. While I acquire the whole "they quest us to a greater extent than than nosotros quest them" it goes far beyond that at this stage. Having back upwards as well as beingness given access for interviews etc. has allowed us to convey our readers some neat content. And nosotros very appreciate that!
I besides very appreciate that my long suffering married adult woman has endured all of this equally well. She's been at that topographic point since the start, she was at that topographic point during the "sure, a consummate redesign Christmas calendar week is a expert idea" Thanks Ger! And my kids, Cameron as well as Mia. Cameron is no stranger to dropping video reviews here, piece Mia has yet to detect the moving-picture demonstrate passion. Unless it involes Elmo, Peppa Pig or that majestic bastard dinosaur!
As the moving-picture demonstrate manufacture changes as well as equally the spider web changes, I truly don't recall we'll cause got some other 10,000 articles. Maybe nosotros will, but over the years we've transitioned as well as moved amongst the times as well as some other 10,000 articles inward the electrical flow format, would exit things stagnant. As a wise former Jedi (one that besides has a detail laid upwards of skills) in 1 lawsuit said "Your focus determines your reality"
So nosotros aspect frontward to what's to come, any that may be. No affair what though, the projector low-cal (digital or otherwise) volition ever give the sack brightly for us here. In the words of a neat Doctor, "It's non the years honey, it's the mileage"
Thank YOU!
